Arizona Governor Doug Doucey recently modified and extended his “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” order. As we previously reported, the original order required individuals to stay home except to engage in limited essential activities. It was in effect until April 30, 2020. The new Executive Order 2020-33 extends the original requirements through May 15, 2020, while allowing some non-essential retailers to offer services starting May 4, 2020, through drive-up, delivery, and appointment, provided they follow physical distancing practices for COVID-19 (coronavirus) prevention. Retailers may open for in-store sales on May 8, 2020, provided they follow the physical distancing practices outlined in the order. Common spaces in shopping malls must remain closed.
Tips For Employers: Stay tuned to ArizonaTogether.org for COVID-19 information and resources. If you stay open as an essential business, or reopen pursuant to the order, ensure that you enforce social distancing guidelines. See our Model Policy, Social Distancing Policy.
