Webinar: Washington’s New Employment Laws, Part II

Washington’s 2025 legislature passed a jaw-dropping amount of employment-related bills, all of which were signed by the governor. Starting this summer, these new laws impact the way employers post jobs, protect employees, manage records, accommodate requests, give leave, and prepare for layoffs.

Join Vigilant Law Group employment attorney Jodi Slavik for Part II of a two-part webinar, as she reviews the laws taking effect on or after January 1, 2026, what changes you need to make now, and best practices moving forward.

In Part II, you’ll learn about:

  • Changes to Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave;
  • Background check and criminal history restrictions;
  • New nursing and post-partum pregnancy accommodations;
  • Unemployment insurance for striking workers; and
  • A grab bag of other changes including hate crime leave, isolated employee protections, and minor work restrictions.

Approved for (1) WA MCLE credit (legal and law procedure). Approved for (1) SHRM PDC credit.

This webinar is free, but you must register to attend or receive a link to the recording.
